Aditya-L1 healthy, first Earth-bound manoeuvre puts spacecraft in 245km x 22,459km orbit

India's first solar space observatory mission, Aditya-L1, has successfully completed its first Earth-bound manoeuvre. The satellite, dedicated to studying the Sun, is in a stable orbit around Lagrange Point-1, approximately 1.5 million km from Earth. Aditya-L1 will spend its mission life orbiting around L1, allowing for uninterrupted observation of the Sun.
